Welcome to my website. Since retiring three years ago, I have been spreading my wings, and working on my artistic gifts. I have found myself doing things I didn’t expect at all, but having a great time in the process. My latest venture is my greeting/notecard business. Like the writing that I have done, that was not a path that I had anticipated taking, but I’m really glad I did. In addition to being able to purchase them at a few local events, you can visit my Square store. I will ship them to you, usually for a flat charge of $2.00 (assuming you live in the US). If you live in Pittsburgh, and it’s warm, you can stop by my house and pick them up for free.

In June 2013, I published my first book, entitled Psalms in the Key of my Life: Volume I . It is a collection of reflections on the first fifty Biblical Psalms. That book and the other two in that series:  Volume II: Unfailing Love: Psalms in the Key of my Life: Volume II and Praise the Lord: Psalms in the Key of my Life, Vol.III , the third and final volume in the series are available at Amazon.com.

Not so new is my passion for photography. I am most passionate about capturing the beauty of nature. View my photos and learn more about me at my photography site. I am currently working on a photography book, probably with butterflies. It will be the first in a series of nature photography books. It hope to have it complete and available for sale by the end of 2016. I have a test version without words, and one with just the names of the butterflies. It’s definitely a work in progress at this point.

I am blessed to be able to participate in one of the Post-Gazette Community blogs. It is a photo blog named: Feel Like Going On. The purpose of the blog is to show the positive things that are happening in the black community in Pittsburgh. Last summer, I took over as blog poster/editor. In the winter, I rely on my friends for updates, as my camera and I avoid Pittsburgh as much as possible in the winter.

In addition to writing reflections on the Psalms, I have taken two short story classes, and have written several stories. I have had the pleasure of participating in Voice Catch in Pittsburgh, PA and Walkterton Writers in Richmond Virginia, although it’s been about a year since I worked with either group. I am eager to return when I can manage it again. I have learned much from my peers and appreciate their help developing my writing skills. Visit my Story page for more.

I pray that my words or my images bless your day.

Dear Carol, thanks for your mail informing me about the book “Unfailing Love”. I have received the sample copy. Dear I just want to know you that I’m getting many blessings from reading the I volume. These are very helpful in understanding and worshipping Psamls in my devotional times. I’m sharing these blessed Psalms with others too via mails and whatsapp messages. While reading I get a sense of calm and grace in my soul. And my heart is filled with HOPE and TRUST in God and His presence in my life. Dear friend the Holy Spirit is ministering through you to touch me. You bless me greatly by sharing your gift of words of life. May our Lord keep on blessing you and you’ll be surrounded by His loving presence always. Thanks dear friend Carol.
    Drinking deeply from refreshing Psalms.

    Norine,
Your words really blessed me this morning. I believe that the spirit ministered through you as well. This was just what I needed this morning. I am literally tearing up (happy tears). Thank you so much for taking the time to write and for sharing my words with others. I pray the second book is as much a blessing to you as the first one. Thanks again.

I’m impressed, I have to admit. Rarely do I come across a blog that’s both equally
educative and engaging, and let me tell you, you’ve hit the
nail on the head. The problem is something not enough people
are speaking intelligently about. I aam very happy that I stuumbled across this in my search for something
    regarding this.
