I don’t think I ever told you how much I appreciated your warm welcome when I started at Allegheny. It’s not easy to share a room with another person, but from the moment I met you, you opened your arms and your space to me. We shared food, laughter, tears and so many things in that space. More than that, I am grateful that our friendship has continued. I have greatly enjoyed our lunches, painting, texts and phone calls. You are a very special woman. Thanks also for encouraging my writing. I continue only because I have wonderful friends like you.
