I shared the links to my book on Facebook this morning. That was really scary for me. My friend, Casey, who is a published author completely understood. I guess the fear of rejection is just as real when dealing with customers as when trying to get a deal with a publisher. Their rejection can be seen in terms of no purchases (even free ones), or negative feedback. Since most of my Facebook friends are really my friends, I’m more afraid of the lack of response than the negative responses. I also am concerned that some will buy it because they want to support me even if they don’t like it and will never read it. True, honest feedback, is what I crave the most. I think that’s hard to get from people who you know.
