I just finished reading Carol Wyer’s book, “Mini Skirts and Laughter Lines”. It exceeded my expectations. Carol is a great story teller, her characters are so human, and so like people in my own family that I could easily relate to them. After a bit, I felt like I really knew them, and couldn’t wait to find out what happened next in their lives. I also loved how she weaved in lessons about love and building relationships. I just bought the next one so I can follow Amanda and Phil on their travels.

And the book you MUST read: Mini Skirts and Laughter Lines
As I was writing this, there was an explosion in my kitchen. My Boss blender jar blade was stuck to the jar for three days with a wonderful fresh fruit smoothie that was fermenting. I finally gave up and threw it away (my husband couldn’t open it either). I had been praying that God would open the lid for me. He answered the prayer. There was a frightening loud crash in the kitchen. I went in, afraid of what might have happened. I found my blender jar on the floor, empty, as if it had been tossed. A bit of the smoothy was on the door, the rest safely in the trash can where I found the blade. Both jar and blade were undamaged. It took me less than five minutes to clean up. My house, however, smells like a bar. 🙂
I am imagining what Carol Wyer could have done with that story. 🙂
