I was in the children’s room at the local library today and saw a huge book that was open to Walt Whitman’s, “O Captain, My Captain” with photos of Abraham Lincoln. I love Dead Poet’s Society, but realized I had never read that poem. I thoroughly enjoyed it. My eyes were wet by the time I finished reading it. I share it today in case some of you have never read it, or just want to read it again.
O Captain! My Captain!
O CAPTAIN! my Captain! our fearful trip is done;
The ship has weather’d every rack, the prize we sought is won;
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring:
But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up–for you the flag is flung–for you the bugle trills;

I enabled comments on my blogger page but it only shows the comments link, and when it’s clicked, a new page opens to show the comments. Is there a way to just have the comments show on my main page right underneath the blog, I don’t want just a link to the comments page..
