I ordered a copy of my print book from Amazon so I would see what my customers will receive. On first glance, it’s far superior to the Lulu version. The front cover pops. The colors are rich and the paper is a better quality. Those improvements, however, carry through only to the front cover. The binding looks better on first glance, but looking deeper reveals a lesser quality. The Amazon version looks like it will come apart easier. The Amazon paper is not white. The Lulu paper, is white, although not a bright white. The back cover on the Amazon version printed very badly. The back cover at Lulu is far better. Although I like the Amazon cover better, I will definitely continue to order print copies from Lulu. I will, however, look into higher quality print options there.
